Pathology

Introduction

Welcome to the Department of Pathology at Govt. Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital, proudly accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for Histopathology and Cytopathology. Our dedicated team of expert pathologists offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic services, including histopathology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), cytopathology, clinical pathology and hematology.

In histopathology, we conduct detailed tissue examinations to detect diseases using advanced techniques. Our IHC services employ targeted antibodies to identify specific cellular markers, ensuring precise diagnoses. Cytopathology focuses on early detection of cancers and other conditions through the study of individual cell changes. Clinical pathology covers a broad spectrum of laboratory tests on body fluids, providing a thorough understanding of patient health. Hematology specializes in the analysis of blood disorders, delivering in-depth insights into hematologic diseases.

In addition to our diagnostic services, we are committed to Medical education, undertaking teaching activities for undergraduate, postgraduate, paramedical  and Allied Health Sciences courses. At Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital, we prioritize quality, accuracy, and excellence in patient care and medical education. We have annual intake of 150 MBBS Students and 6 MD Postgraduate students.

Govt. Royapettah hospital, Govt. Anna nagar peripheral hospital, Govt. Thiruvoteesswarar Hospital of Thoracic medicine, Otteri and Kalaignar centenary super speciality hospital, Guindy are attached to our institution and we cater to their need as well.
